My current process & leadership encouraged me to think like a strategic thinker. It helped me to see a technical problem strategically and communicated alongwith.

My personal view — irrespective of any profession, any professional could try to achieve this skill which will help them anyway.

I am sharing few take aways from one of my recent read of Havard Business School Blog post.

Strategic thinking nothing but that enables you to think like a critical thinker & plan for future.
The skills includes,

Analytical skills,

communication skills,

problem solving skills,

planning & management skills.

If you want to improve your strategic thinking skills, one of the simplest things you can do is ask more strategic questions.

In addition to asking strategic questions, you need to answer and address them skillfully.

Once you’ve landed on a strategy that can help your work to reach its goals, question your assumptions, and put your hypothesis through rigorous testing.

By practicing the methods described above, you can improve your strategic thinking skills at your own pace.
